The Project Recycle TJ has been destined to be a test bed rig since we built it a little over a year ago. One of the things we envisioned was doing the upgrades you would do as time and money were available. Yes, it's a great wheeler as is, but getting it to the next level is what you would do, so we're going to do the same.

One of our goals was to run a 37" tire for additional ground clearance and, as time goes on, maybe larger if a V8 swap is made. With the upcoming addition of a Currie F9 axle that can handle the larger size tires, the HPD30 is coming out once and for all. It was at, or beyond, its theoretical limit with 35s. With the change to 37s comes the reality that we can't get away with 15" wheels anymore. Enter Trail-Gear and their polished Creeper Locks.
